    Pizza Worm!  10/3/00

    Pizza Worm
    by Chris Remmel

Anyone remember "nibbles?"  Nibbles is the old game that came along with old versions of MS-DOS.  The way the game worked was, you play a worm that starts out short but grows bigger as it collects food, which is the object of the game.  Sounds easy?  Well, it's not. You also can't run into yourself (which gets easy to do, you can get very big) or the walls (Also easy to do while you are trying to avoid yourself).  Add multiplayer capability, and this game gets interesting.

Nibbles was and is very popular, and there have been many clones, even one in Java.  This reviews the king of them all: Pizza Worm.

Pizza Worm is a gigantic step up from the black-and-white four-direction nibbles.  It has color and animation!  You can curve around, go diagonal, and in circles!

You can say goodbye to the afternoon when you sit down to play this game.  It is one of the most astonishingly addictive games around.  Just when you thought you were done, this game has a two-player mode that will sit you down for another half-hour or so.

I actually thought that single-player was better that two-player, because single-player has a high scores list, recording your top ten, encouraging you to beat your best score(and knock your embarrassing ones off the list), while two-player lacks a top-ten list, and keeps track of games won, instead of individual scores.

This is an incredible game, so I definitely recommend downloading it at soon as possible (an added bonus: it's freeware).  Download it at www.download.com, search for "pizza worm"

    Space Cab!  10/2/00

    Space Cab
    By Alex Dodge

Space Cab is a very interesting game...  In it, you are a jet-powered taxi cab driver.  Your goal is to get all the nice little people to their destinations...  This is done by landing on pads to pick up and drop off passengers...  The graphics are very nice, but they aren't rendered...  Real cool!  The replayablity is limited, but it's fun until it gets old...  You can get it at www.groovysoft.com.
